Redgate Residential Restoration New Vernon, New Jersey |
|
Mark Hewitt’s research on the noted New Jersey architect, Harrie T. Lindeberg, has led to a number of projects. This magnificent house, designed in 1920 by Lindeberg for Seth Thomas of clockmaking fame, is perhaps the most exacting and elaborate of all our residential restorations. When acquired from the third owner in 2004, the house needed only building systems upgrades and decorative refurbishment in order to reclaim its 1920s elegance and patina. The current owner has endeavored to make these needed upgrades without compromising the unique qualities of the house and site. Our task was to coordinate a team of contractors, interior designers, and craftsmen in an ambitious one-year construction campaign to bring the building back to its old glory. |
